這位女伯爵並非鄧蓮如，而是蘇菲阿羅蘭。在上個世紀50、60年代，被中國驅逐出境的白俄羅斯政治難民，大多滯留在九龍城的太子酒店，多國都拒絕接收，後來大部份被澳洲收容。如電影中的女主角，能登上了郵船，成功偷渡到美國的，應該就只有由蘇菲阿羅蘭所飾演的這一位女伯爵了。差理卓別靈除了演戲外，還能做導演、作曲兼填詞，不過這部《香港女伯爵》，雖然以香港作為電影的背景提材，對香港人來說，還有印象的，應該算是不太多了。
