踏進21世紀，不要以為環遊世界就會是一件容易的事情，有時間、金錢，還要安排，因此對我來說，環遊世界仍是夢想。在上世紀50年代末、60年代初，有機會在電影中，用近3個小時的時間，環遊世界，不就是至今仍津津樂道的話題嗎？

當然，在當時看到片中的鴕鳥車，就有些反感了，而對大英帝國的覆亡，到了1997年才真正實現。也是在影片中，明白到時差這回事。受電影的主題曲所感召，買了Around the World in 80 Tunes 這張黑膠唱片，是用鋼琴彈出80首世界雜錦名曲，但是借給了勝利道的黎同學後，便失蹤了，他說要作鋼琴練習用。
